Planet is seeking an Account Executive to expand its sales and business in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. Based in the UAE, the Account Executive will focus on identifying, qualifying, negotiating, and closing deals with government and commercial accounts. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of geospatial imagery products or a similar technical field, along with the ability to navigate procurement processes and frameworks.Role involves:
- Developing a sales pipeline of strategic deals with government customers.
- Creating customer-aligned narratives that resonate with decision-makers.
- Achieving or exceeding sales targets.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams and the marketing team.
- Managing customer expectations and fostering relationships.
- Managing the contracting and government procurement processes.
- Maintaining pipeline hygiene using Salesforce.com.
Requirements:
- Proven track record of exceeding targets and closing significant deals ($1m+).
- 6+ years of experience in sales, with 5+ years selling to government customers.
- Understanding of government sales cycles.
- Consultative approach to solution selling.
- Excellent relationships across government and the partner ecosystem in the region.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Arabic.
- Experience with Salesforce.com or a similar CRM system.
