Senior Staff Software Engineer, Fullstack (Consumer App Experience)

Job Description

Affirm is seeking a Senior Staff Software Engineer to lead technical strategy for consumer app experiences. This role involves collaborating with engineering leaders, implementing technical strategy across full-stack teams, and coordinating with stakeholders to build scalable solutions.He/She will be responsible for leading senior engineers, unlocking product features, building trust, and developing technology strategy to uphold technical excellence across consumer mobile and web surfaces.

• Building and driving technical strategy for app and web experiences
• Working with stakeholders to champion technical excellence
• Creating a strong ownership culture across teams
• Delivering critical user experiences
• Guiding product decisions and technical tradeoffs
• Architecting core platform components
• Partnering with Front End Platform to drive initiatives
• Planning and building core platform software and systems

Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience working across the stack in frontend (mobile, web) and backend.
• Experience with languages like React Native, Javascript, or Kotlin.
• Strong experience leading multiple engineering teams.
• Track record of leading critical projects and leveraging partner teams.
• Experience developing and implementing technical strategy.
• Project management or people management experience.
• Customer-first mindset.
• Strong communication skills.
