Job Description

Schrödinger is seeking a Materials Informatics & Optoelectronics Scientist to join their Materials Science team. The successful candidate will contribute to improving human health and quality of life through the application of advanced computational methods.

In this role, the candidate will focus on diverse projects in optoelectronics, catalysis, energy storage, semiconductors, aerospace, and specialty chemicals. The Materials Informatics & Optoelectronics Scientist will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.

Role Involves:

  • Researching, curating, and analyzing datasets.
  • Working with domain experts to ensure data accuracy.
  • Developing and validating predictive machine learning models.
  • Communicating results and presenting ideas.
  • Developing tools and workflows for commercial software products.
  • Validating existing Schrödinger machine learning products.

Requirements:

  • A PhD in Chemistry or Materials Science.
  • Hands-on experience with machine learning, neural networks, deep learning, data analysis, or chemical informatics.
  • Experience with LLM, OCR technologies, and the extraction of datasets for ML model development
