Zepz Group, the company behind WorldRemit and Sendwave, is looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to join their team. This role is crucial for ensuring the stability, resilience, and scalability of Zepz's services through automation, observability, and infrastructure engineering. The Site Reliability Engineer will report to the SRE Manager.

What this role involves:

  • Solving problems with code, focusing on configuration, infrastructure, tooling, and automation.
  • Implementing best practices and standards for Observability, Monitoring, Alerting, Capacity Planning, availability, performance/latency, change, and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborating with feature teams to ensure proper service monitoring, safe change delivery, and resilience.
  • Leading or participating in troubleshooting complex incidents and problems.
  • Ensuring consistent customer experience across microservices and dependencies.
  • Contributing to the team's strategic goals by maintaining high observability and maximizing developer velocity.
  • Reviewing others' work and seeking feedback to improve the codebase and skills.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or Engineering with a focus on automation.
  • Understanding of SRE and DevOps methodologies.
  • Focus on observability and experience with Grafana, Loki, and Prometheus.
  • Holistic view on application delivery, including monitoring, logging, alerting, and scaling.
  • Experience supporting or developing applications in Java, Python, or Node.js.
  • Systematic problem-solving approach for large-scale distributed systems.
  • Comfort working with AWS-hosted cloud-native platforms.
  • Bias for action and a growth mindset.
  • Agile outlook and self-management skills.
