Job Description

Velocity Electronics is seeking a Strategic Account Manager to work with key customer accounts, fostering long-term business relationships. This is an onsite position based in Stevenage, UK.

Role Involves:

  • Cultivating and maintaining strategic customer relationships
  • Selling a portfolio of key accounts
  • Assisting in the implementation of global sales and purchasing strategies
  • Developing a deep understanding of customer needs
  • Managing individual training in sales, sourcing, and throughput
  • Ensuring accurate entry of customer requirements in Velocity's ERP system
  • Delivering on monthly and quarterly gross profit sales goals
  • Representing Velocity’s culture and value proposition
  • Providing solutions to customer needs
  • Maintaining detailed sales data and customer interactions in the ERP system
  • Creating and presenting periodic reports

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; 4-year college degree preferred
  • 2+ years of sales experience in the electronic components industry
  • Expertise in sourcing, product knowledge, and account management
  • Computer literacy: experience with complex ERP systems preferred
