Job Description
Velocity Electronics is seeking a Strategic Account Manager to work with key customer accounts, fostering long-term business relationships. This is an onsite position based in Stevenage, UK.
Role Involves:
- Cultivating and maintaining strategic customer relationships
- Selling a portfolio of key accounts
- Assisting in the implementation of global sales and purchasing strategies
- Developing a deep understanding of customer needs
- Managing individual training in sales, sourcing, and throughput
- Ensuring accurate entry of customer requirements in Velocity's ERP system
- Delivering on monthly and quarterly gross profit sales goals
- Representing Velocity’s culture and value proposition
- Providing solutions to customer needs
- Maintaining detailed sales data and customer interactions in the ERP system
- Creating and presenting periodic reports
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent; 4-year college degree preferred
- 2+ years of sales experience in the electronic components industry
- Expertise in sourcing, product knowledge, and account management
- Computer literacy: experience with complex ERP systems preferred
