Job Description
Blockchain is seeking a Technical Lead to join their Cryptocurrency Trading Platform team in London. This role involves taking a leadership position in shaping the direction of Blockchain's technology, working closely with the trading team and quantitative analysts. The Technical Lead will design and implement systems that meet real-time trading demands, improve market efficiency, and support advanced trading strategies. He will be a technical advocate for excellence and lead by example in fostering a culture of high standards, agility, and innovation within the team.
What this role involves:
- Designing and optimizing low-latency trading systems in Rust.
- Leading the design and implementation of trading algorithms.
- Promoting best practices in software engineering.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ensuring high availability, reliability, and scalability of trading systems.
- Driving technical decision-making and contributing to high-level architecture discussions.
- Prioritizing rapid iteration of trading algorithms.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience in Rust and/or C++.
- Leadership experience with a proven track record of leading by example.
- Strong background in trading (ideally cryptocurrency trading).
- Proven experience iterating quickly on algorithmic strategies.
- Proficiency in Python for backtesting, scripting, and analysis, along with SQL for managing large-scale data systems.
- Strong focus on performance optimization.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Experience with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) and deploying scalable, high-performance trading systems in cloud environments (AWS).
