Senior Security Engineer, Application Security

Job Description

Blockchain.com is seeking a Senior Application Security Engineer to join their security team in London. This role involves securing a distributed financial platform and will tackle complex problems in the crypto space. The Senior Application Security Engineer will collaborate with engineering teams to define security requirements and conduct design assessments. The role will also involve performing code reviews, penetration testing, and enforcing secure development practices.

• Collaborate with engineering teams to define security requirements.
• Perform code reviews and penetration tests.
• Develop and enforce best practices for secure development.
• Improve the Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
• Create and integrate software and tooling to enforce secure baselines.
• Conduct security reviews of development processes and documentation.
• Design and implement security libraries and tooling.
• Assist engineering teams in implementing security fixes.

To be considered for this role, candidates will need:

• Proven experience with secure software development practices.
• Demonstrated expertise in performing code reviews.
• Experience working in highly regulated environments.
• Strong knowledge of OWASP standards, SAST, DAST, and SCA tools.
• Familiarity with integrating security tools into CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with security monitoring techniques and tools.
