Fund Accountant - Assistant Vice President at iCapital

iCapital is seeking a Fund Accountant - Assistant Vice President to join its growing International Fund Finance team. The role is based in Tokyo Prefecture, Japan, and focuses on supporting a fast-growing sector of the business, including FX hedging operations for newly-created FX-hedged funds. The candidate will work in a team, servicing open-ended and closed-ended access fund vehicles in conjunction with third-party administrators and internal support staff in the US and Portugal.Responsibilities include serving as the APAC region accounting and operational specialist, reviewing NAVs, fostering relationships with fund managers and administrators, enhancing key processes, and working closely with various internal teams. The role involves monitoring cash positions, liaising with custodians and banks, and fulfilling ad-hoc tasks.

• Reviewing NAVs produced by third-party fund administrators for APAC region clients.
• Maintaining relationships with fund managers, administrators, and distributors.
• Enhancing key processes and reporting for efficiency and scale.
• Monitoring cash positions and liquidity of investments.
• Liaising with custodians, banks, and other counterparties.

Requirements:

• Fluent in Japanese and English
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 8+ years of fund accounting or finance operations experience
• Advanced accounting skills and experience within an audit framework
• Advanced Excel and analytical skills
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
