Wellhub is seeking a Global Payments Ops Lead to join its Global Payments Team in São Paulo. This role is within the Partner Operations and involves managing all payment calculations outside the standard payment system.
The Global Payments Ops Lead will play a crucial role in maintaining strong partner relationships by ensuring exceptional payments are handled effectively. The role encompasses leading and mentoring a team, driving process improvements, and overseeing consistent global payment operations.
Responsibilities:- Streamline manual and exception payment workflows by extracting data for efficiency.
- Analyze data from the database using SQL for performance improvements.
- Identify opportunities and potential problems through operational refinement.
- Ensure precise payments and reduce errors in exceptional cases.
- Support Finance in resolving payment discrepancies and maintaining smooth communication.
- Lead and mentor the team, with current 1 assistant, fostering growth in payment operations.
- Identify process improvements and prioritize tasks aligned with company goals.
- Oversee consistent global payment operations, managing international challenges.
Requirements:- Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple complex payment processes simultaneously, and maintain attention to detail.
- Strong knowledge of SQL to perform payment queries, analyze data, and extract insights from the payment system.
- Able to analyze large sets of payment data, identify trends, and solve complex payment-related issues.
- Skilled in troubleshooting and resolving exceptions, payment discrepancies, and retroactive cases efficiently.
- Pays close attention to accuracy, especially in manual calculations and exceptional payments, to ensure no errors in payment processing.
- Able to clearly communicate in English with cross-functional teams, including Finance, partners, and internal stakeholders, to resolve payment issues.
- Able to adapt to changing processes, requirements, and systems in a fast-paced, global environment.
- Works well with a global team, ensuring seamless collaboration across different regions and departments.
