Manual QA Engineer at Fluxon

Fluxon, a product development team founded by ex-Googlers and startup founders, is seeking a Manual QA Engineer. The company offers full-cycle software development, partnering with various companies to transform ideas into impactful products. This is a fully remote position with a preference for candidates based in Poland.

The Manual QA Engineer will be responsible for defining test strategies, executing tests, tracking quality initiatives, and collaborating with project teams and clients to resolve product quality issues. They will also evangelize QA best practices within the teams.

Responsibilities include:

• Define end-to-end test strategy and processes for entire products.
• Plan and execute testing for quality and conformance to specifications.
• Assist project teams by tracking, documenting, and reporting on quality initiatives.
• Investigate reports of product quality issues and work collaboratively towards resolution.
• Engage directly with clients to understand requirements, define quality, and debug complex issues.
• Learn fast while working independently and reliably.

Requirements:

• Experienced QA engineer generalist with a dedication to product quality.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience testing web or mobile applications, as well as APIs.
• 2+ years of experience in setting up testing processes from scratch and maintaining test documentation.
• Strong understanding of client-server architecture, testing theory, and SDLC.
• Basic understanding of CI/CD and networking stack (DNS, TCP/IP, HTTP(S), SSH, etc).
• Upper-Intermediate level of written and spoken English.
• Basic scripting experience (any modern programming language).
• Pro-active personality, with a willingness to learn and contribute to test automation.
• Familiarity with task estimation.
