Verkada is seeking a Head of Corporate Development to lead M&A sourcing and execution. This role is crucial for Verkada's growth strategy, focusing on expanding its integrated physical security technology platform. The Head of Corporate Development will report to the CFO and collaborate with co-founders, the CTO, and the VP of Product.Verkada is a leader in cloud-based B2B physical security, offering six product lines integrated with a single cloud-based software platform. Founded in 2016, Verkada has rapidly expanded with offices across three continents and serves numerous customers across many countries.
Responsibilities: - Execute early-stage M&A opportunities, focusing on acquihires (2-40 person teams).
- Source opportunities by engaging with the startup ecosystem (VCs, growth equity, investment bankers, conferences, etc.).
- Collaborate with internal technical leadership to identify team fit and promote the opportunity to build products within Verkada.
- Execute deal mechanics and onboard acquired teams.
Requirements: - "Outside cat" mentality with experience creating business or investment opportunities externally.
- Strong business acumen to solve complex problems.
- Flexibility to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment, managing competing priorities and adapting quickly.
- High academic achievement from a leading undergraduate university.
- Top-tier MBA preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in management consulting, private equity, venture capital, investment banking, or business development in a high-growth technology company.
