Backend Developer Senior | Python

Job Description

AB InBev is seeking a Senior Backend Developer to join their Growth Group in Campinas, Brazil. The Growth Group unifies AB InBev's B2B, DTC, Sales & Distribution, and Marketing teams, focusing on data leverage and digital transformation.

The Senior Software Engineer will collaborate on technical designs, solution development, and quality assurance for new features, working closely with the engineering team.

What this role involves:

• Participating in defining best practices and architecture standards.
• Staying aligned with Engineering Managers for decentralized technical decisions.
• Participating in high level requirements meetings, helping product and design teams to prepare their initiatives, epics and stories we will develop.
• Supporting the squad in making technical decisions and creating standards.
• Suggesting new tools and technologies to solve the problems.
• Talking and elaborate ideas and raise issues for both technical and non-technical people.
• Responsible with other seniors for guaranteeing the critical flows in your Value Stream level.
• Providing technical mentoring.
• Actively contribute to the Backend Chapter and disseminate technical knowledge/ propose improvements.
• Helping with the career development of other professional developers.
• Technical integration between squads.
• Identification, prioritization and resolution of technical debts and bugs.
• Supporting the hiring process by participating in technical interviews.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related field OR years full-time Software Engineering work experience.
• Solid fundamentals in object-oriented design, data structures, algorithms and problem solving.
• Expertise in at least one programming language and its main frameworks.
• Experience in Systems Architectural styles (Monolith, Plugin, SOA, Microservices, Event-driven)
• Experience in Architecture concepts (Software design, hexagonal architecture, onion, clean architecture).
• Experience in API and capabilities.
• Experience in Cloud platforms and main providers.
• Experience in SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience in IAC Technologies.
• Experience in System Modeling (desirable experience on tactical DDD).
• Experience in Monitoring Tools, Metrics and Observability.
• Experience in Agile Framework.
• Experience in DevOps culture, automation (CI/CD) and main tools.
• Knowledge in Quality (stress tests, load, TDD, BDD).
• Intermediate/Advanced English.
