Job Description
Fantastic Pixel Castle (FPC), founded by an MMO veteran, is seeking a Senior Game Designer to contribute to their new fantasy IP. This role involves designing and implementing systems, mechanics, and content for a persistent online world using Unreal Engine. The Senior Game Designer will collaborate with world-building, engineering, and art teams to create an immersive player experience.
The responsibilities of this role are:
- Designing and implementing gameplay systems for an MMORPG.
- Using Unreal Engine's Blueprint system for in-game features.
- Collaborating with teammates to create objectives and systems for multiplayer interaction.
- Ensuring a balanced MMORPG experience and progression loop.
- Participating in playtesting, analyzing data, and improving game features.
- Establishing design documentation.
- Troubleshooting gameplay issues related to MMO environments and Unreal Engine's capabilities.
Requirements for this role are:
- 7+ years of experience in game design.
- Deep understanding of MMORPG design principles.
- Proficiency in Unreal Engine (Blueprint scripting, level design tools, performance optimization).
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to use data and player feedback to improve the game.
- Experience in balancing complex systems.
