OKX, a leading crypto exchange, is seeking a Senior Manager for CDD Operations to lead its Customer Due Diligence (CDD) team in the EEA region. This role is based in Budapest, Hungary.

The Senior Manager will be responsible for leading the EEA CDD teams, encompassing KYC, KYB, EDD, screening, and periodic reviews. The role involves collaborating with country, regional, and global stakeholders in a dynamic environment. Reporting to the EEA Head of Compliance Operations, the Senior Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping and optimizing CDD processes within OKX.

Responsibilities

  • Leadership of a CDD team of over 40 people based in Hungary and Malta.
  • Leading strategic direction, training and advisory support with regards to EEA CDD processes.
  • Developing and maintaining robust KYC / KYB policies, procedures, controls, and frameworks.
  • Provide people management and development responsibilities, and ensure team service level standards are met.
  • Liaise with various functions (e.g. Compliance) and stakeholders across the business within business units for onboarding or periodic review queries.
  • Oversee new client onboarding, and implement process enhancements to improve client onboarding experience in EEA.
  • Monitor periodic reviews to ensure regulatory requirements are met.
  • Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
  • Prepare daily and weekly onboarding metrics and progress reports.
  • Ensure that all legal and customer files / data are maintained, in accordance with European Regulations and Group policies.

Requirements

  • 8 years experience of running a CDD team preferably in the financial service industry
  • Proven leadership and management skills.
  • Strong communication, planning, and organisational skills
  • Understanding of business, operations and risk functions.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or relevant equivalent experience or professional qualification.
