Job Description
iCapital is seeking an experienced Event Manager to join their team in the EMEA region, located in Zurich. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, and executing events and managing regional third-party sponsorships that support iCapital’s business objectives. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record of managing proprietary and third-party events and a deep understanding of the financial services industry. The Event Manager will work closely with the headquarter-based events team in the U.S. and have a dotted line into the Center of Excellence lead in the U.S., while reporting to the Head of International Marketing and Communications.
Role involves: - Planning, coordinating, and executing events, including conferences, seminars, and corporate meetings.
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders to develop event strategies and objectives.
- Managing event budgets and negotiating contracts with vendors.
- Overseeing event logistics, including venue selection, catering, and transportation.
- Developing and maintaining relationships with key partners, sponsors, and vendors.
- Creating and implementing marketing and promotional plans to drive event attendance.
- Monitoring and evaluating event performance.
- Ensuring compliance with regulations and industry standards.
- Managing relationships with external agencies.
Requirements: - Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in event management, preferably within the financial services industry.
- Strong project management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in event management software and tools.
- Cultural awareness and experience working with a global audience.
- Fluent in English and preferably German, additional languages are a plus.
