Culture Amp is seeking a Director of Engineering to lead its Core Experiences Camp. The Director will be responsible for platform engineering, team leadership, and ensuring engineering aligns with business outcomes. This role involves collaborating with product management and design, making technical decisions, and promoting knowledge sharing. The Director will also manage the engineering team, mentor leadership, be accountable for technology budgets, hosting, security, and compliance.
What this role involves: - Collaborating with the camp leadership team on structure and execution.
- Working closely with product management and design to ensure viable roadmaps.
- Being accountable for technical decisions and alignment with the tech vision.
- Presenting clear plans aligned with the product strategy.
- Sharing technical roadmaps and strategies with senior engineering leads.
- Promoting the sharing of technical decisions and knowledge.
- Identifying and hiring to address technical gaps and build diverse teams.
- Maintaining and growing the leadership team.
- Taking accountability for the technology hosting budget.
- Ensuring security best practices and compliance.
Requirements: - Extensive platform engineering experience.
- A solid understanding of LLMs using RAG techniques
- Frontend experience with a focus on design systems.
- Experience leading engineering teams of more than 20 engineers, ideally in the SaaS space.
- Proven experience connecting engineering to business outcomes.
- Understanding of operational excellence.
- Technical experience at all levels of the stack.
- Exceptional people skills and experience leading multiple teams.
- Strong communication skills.
- A remarkable eye for talent and track record of developing engineers.
