Cloud Architecture - Vice President at iCapital

iCapital is seeking a Cloud Architect to join their Platform Infrastructure Group in Lisbon, Portugal. This role will be part of the Cloud Architecture Team and will be responsible for maintaining the smooth and secure operation of all platform environments. The Cloud Architect will interact with various external stakeholders and contribute to automating and scaling the company's environment.

Responsibilities:

• Act as an infrastructure architect, building secure, automated, and scalable AWS infrastructure.
• Implement AWS best practices and security measures.
• Build, enhance, and support EKS clusters and other services like API gateways and Transit Gateway.
• Troubleshoot performance and deployment issues and improve monitoring strategies.
• Write and update self-service tools for internal developers.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of DevOps or SRE experience, with at least 6 years of AWS experience.
• Experience with Microservices (Docker, Kubernetes) in a production environment.
• Strong Linux OS-level and command-line/scripting knowledge.
• Proficiency in Python or Ruby is desired.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to design and implement complex, automated infrastructure.
