Product Data Scientist

Job Description

Passes is seeking a Product Data Scientist to focus on product analytics and advanced ML model applications. The Data Scientist will conduct analyses to inform product and business strategies. This role requires a strong background in data analysis, analytics engineering, forecasting, and machine learning models. The candidate will work with product, engineering, and design teams.

Responsibilities:

• Design metrics aligned with product goals and create monitoring dashboards.
• Design and analyze A/B tests.
• Conduct deep-dive analyses to provide insights into user behavior.
• Automate operational tasks and create ETL processes.
• Design and maintain data models.
• Monitor data job performance and proactively address issues.
• Design high-performance predictive models.
• Analyze large datasets to identify trends for recommendation strategies.
• Collaborate to integrate recommendation systems.
• Design, implement, and evaluate basic recommendation algorithms.

Requirements:

• 6+ years of experience in the data field.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience designing metrics, analyzing product funnels, A/B testing, and optimizing ML pipelines.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Economics, Statistics, or related field.
• Experience with data warehouse technologies like Redshift, Snowflake, Big Query, Athena, Spark, DBT.
• Proficiency in data visualization tools.
• Basic to intermediate programming skills in Python or R.
