Skylo is seeking a Vice President of Software Engineering to lead its globally distributed software engineering team. This role is based in Espoo, Finland, with onsite presence required 3 days a week. The VP of Software Engineering will be responsible for the design, development, and productization of Skylo's in-house software across 3GPP and cloud application technology segments, including radio access network (RAN) platforms, 4G/5G core network services, and cloud-based applications.

- Lead the architecture, development, and productization of Skylo’s software products.
- Define and execute the long-term software engineering strategy.
- Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing software engineering team.
- Work closely with Product Management, Network Operations, and IT.
- Manage the software development budget.
Requirements:
- 15+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 10 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record in building and scaling cloud-native software systems.
- Experience with Kubernetes, and microservices architectures.
- Experience in real-time network management, OSS/BSS platforms, or IoT cloud services.
- Strong programming expertise in Python, Go, or Java.
- Deep understanding of NB-IoT, LTE, 5G, or satellite communications protocols.
- Strong grasp of security best practices in distributed systems.
- Experience in leading global teams.
