Senior Data Engineer, Chef Analytics at CookUnity

CookUnity is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join its Data Engineering Team. This team plays a crucial role in ensuring data accuracy, accessibility, and actionability across the company, supporting both CookUnity’s operations and Chef products. The Senior Data Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing data pipelines, integrations, and data models to support CookUnity's fast-growing business.

The role involves working with SQL, Python, Snowflake, DBT, and Airflow, ensuring high performance and scalability.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries and data models.
• Take ownership of Chef Payout calculations.
• Improve data accessibility by developing interactive reports.
• Enhance data observability with monitoring, logging, and alerting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Maintain best practices for CI/CD and version control.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or Backend Engineer with data expertise.
• Strong proficiency in SQL.
• Experience with modern data warehouses.
• Hands-on experience with Python for data pipeline development.
• Familiarity with AWS data services and cloud-based ETL workflows.
• Experience working with BI tools for operational reporting.
• Strong understanding of data modeling and pipeline orchestration.
• Advanced English communication skills.
