OpenTable is seeking a Staff Engineer to maintain their web platform for diners. This role involves leading a small team, fostering innovation, and ensuring the right architectural direction.
- Mentoring and guiding team members
- Developing relationships cross-company
- Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable web applications
- Building automation and testing frameworks
- Collaborating with developers to understand needs
- Contributing to infrastructure development and maintenance
- Writing clean, testable, and well-documented code
- Troubleshooting issues
- Staying up-to-date with technologies
- 5+ years in web development (Node.js, React, Redux, TypeScript)
- Strong technical leadership skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Understanding of front-end and back-end technologies
- Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker
- Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools
- Proficiency with version control systems like Git
- Understanding of software development workflows
