Kroll Bond Rating Agency Europe Limited is seeking an RMBS Associate to join their Residential Mortgage-Backed Securities (RMBS) team in Dublin. The role involves leading the ratings process, conducting quantitative modeling, preparing credit committee memos, and writing reports. The associate will manage stakeholder expectations, communicate credit views, and participate in operational risk reviews and conferences. They will also contribute to the development of structured finance methodologies.

Role Involves:

  • Project managing the ratings process for RMBS from start to finish.
  • Quantitative modelling of issuance structures and performing cash flows analysis.
  • Preparing credit committee memos with analysis and recommendations.
  • Writing presale, new issuance, and surveillance reports.
  • Writing commentaries and research reports on the RMBS sector across European jurisdictions.
  • Managing expectations of internal stakeholders and external counterparties.
  • Communicating KBRA’s credit views and opinions to market participants effectively.
  • Representing KBRA in operational risk reviews and conferences.
  • Surveillance of rated transactions in RMBS and other asset classes.
  • Applying and helping develop KBRA structured finance methodologies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree (required), advanced degree (a plus).
  • Three (3) or more years of relevant experience in RMBS or similar asset types.
  • Good understanding of credit risk concepts, mortgage products, and market dynamics.
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Excel (including VBA) and manipulating large data sets.
  • Ability to analyse, summarise, and present complex issues concisely.
  • Excellent communication skills (written & verbal).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and independently against deadlines.
  • Good time management skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel freely between the EU and UK.
  • Familiarity with Generative AI tools such as ChatGPT is a plus.
