Goodnotes is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join its Insights team. This role involves working alongside Data Analysts and Data Engineers to deliver insights to stakeholders across Product and Marketing.

The Senior Data Scientist will lead experimentation efforts, perform deep dives, model user behavior, forecast KPIs, and democratize insights. They will also analyze user behavior to identify key drivers of outcomes, conduct proactive analysis, ensure teams have access to data, develop data literacy programs, and perform basic ETL tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze user behavior to find and explain novel drivers of key outcomes.
  • Drive proactive analysis/research into high-potential green fields.
  • Ensure all teams have insight to data and can answer their own first-order questions.
  • Develop data literacy programs and provide easy-to-use tools with clear documentation, examples, and tutorials.
  • Improve experimentation practices by leading change on tooling, infrastructure and design.
  • Perform basic ETL tasks to model new dimensions and facts in our data lakehouse.

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of experience in data science and analytics.
  • Experience in defining and analyzing large, complex datasets.
  • Proven stakeholder management expertise.
  • Proficiency with analytics tools (dbt, modern BI tools) and languages (SQL, Python or R).
  • Expertise in designing and analyzing experiments.
  • Strong business acumen with statistical expertise.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
