Nexxiot is seeking a Head of Software Engineering to lead its software engineering efforts. The role involves defining the technology roadmap, driving the development of globally scalable IoT platforms, and overseeing SaaS-based analytics solutions and AI-driven insights. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in cloud and IoT technologies, combined with experience in selling SaaS-based data products to enterprise customers.He/She will lead and inspire multiple engineering teams, each specializing in different technical domains, while collaborating closely with Product Management and Hardware to align the technology development with business objectives.
- Defining and executing Nexxiot’s IoT software architecture and cloud technology roadmap.
- Leading distributed teams in data ingress, IoT middleware, SaaS, cloud platforms, and AI-powered analytics.
- Collaborating with Product Management to shape the software roadmap.
- Working closely with sales and business development teams to drive the adoption of SaaS-based data analytics solutions.
- Leading, growing, and mentoring multiple high-performing, geographically distributed software engineering teams.
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering, including 4+ years in IoT, SaaS, or cloud-based solutions.
- Proven experience in leading distributed software teams and delivering large-scale IoT or AI-powered platforms.
- Strong technical expertise in AWS Cloud, Kafka, Kotlin, Kubernetes and real-time event driven data processing.
- Strong technical and people leadership, architectural and strategic thinking, and business acumen.
- Experience in logistics, transportation, or industrial IoT industries (preferred).
- Previous experience as a Head of Software in a SaaS or IoT company (preferred).
- Familiarity with subscription-based data products, API monetization, and enterprise software sales(preferred)
