Payroll Manager - Americas at OpenTable

OpenTable is seeking a Payroll Manager for the Americas region to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing. The Payroll Manager will report to OpenTable’s Director, Global Payroll, and will foster a culture of excellence and strong collaboration, elevate OpenTable’s Payroll’s function, build and develop future proof processes, and proactively guide the business to operate successfully in an increasingly complex Payroll environment.

Responsibilities include:

• Ensuring timely and accurate payroll for multiple countries.
• Overseeing payroll operations for Canada, Mexico, and the United States.
• Calculating and reporting tax liabilities.
• Managing payroll tax reporting system processes.
• Managing multiple payroll vendors.
• Managing payroll queries via Zendesk.
• Researching tax regulations.
• Assisting with special reports for senior management.
• Serving as the point person for payroll tax notices and audits.
• Ensuring correct taxation of payroll & benefits for the North American region.
• Building strong relationships with Finance, HROps, Legal and FP&A teams.
• Developing and leading a successful Americas Payroll Team.
• Assisting and consulting on ad-hoc projects.

Requirements include:

• 6+ years of multi-national payroll experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration preferred.
• Certified Payroll Professional preferred.
• 3+ years of team management experience.
• Two years of hands-on ADP WorkForce experience.
• Advanced level Excel skills and experience managing large data sets
• Strong knowledge of payroll protocols and tax regulations.
• Process-first approach is must.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and prioritization skills.
• Ability to maintain data confidentiality.
