Job Description
AirTrunk is seeking a Government Relations Associate Director to be based in Tokyo. This role is crucial for developing and maintaining positive relationships with key external stakeholders in Japan, enhancing the company's reputation as a trusted industry leader. The role involves shaping AirTrunk’s public policy positions and building alliances with relevant government entities.
- Developing and delivering proactive engagement plans with key government stakeholders.
- Representing AirTrunk in government meetings with officials and industry stakeholders.
- Monitoring government policy developments in Japan affecting AirTrunk’s business.
- Shaping the public policy agenda and advocating AirTrunk’s position.
- Representing AirTrunk in industry associations and third-party alliances.
- Managing local Government Relations consultants and other vendors.
Requirements include:
- 8+ years' experience in a policy, political, or government role.
- Strong understanding of internal workings of government, including political processes.
- Exceptional dual language (English and Japanese) written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional project management skills and experience in working in cross-functional teams.
- A high degree of autonomy, drive, and resilience.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment and capacity to prioritize conflicting tasks.
