Job Description
SurveyMonkey is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Test II to enhance their SM Apply & Wufoo Team, located in Bengaluru. This role involves driving the testing strategy, automation frameworks, and quality engineering initiatives to ensure the platforms deliver a seamless user experience. The candidate will mentor engineers, lead test automation efforts, and optimize quality processes to enhance the software development lifecycle.
Role involves:
- Architecting and developing scalable, reusable test automation frameworks.
- Driving the overall testing strategy across functional, performance, security, and accessibility testing.
- Leading test automation initiatives, integrating them into CI/CD pipelines.
- Mentoring and providing technical guidance to engineers.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify quality risks.
- Establishing and refining quality metrics.
- Leading efforts in shift-left testing.
- Owning performance, scalability, and load testing strategies.
- Advocating for best practices in test automation.
Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience in software testing and test automation development.
- Expertise in building and maintaining test automation frameworks using tools like WebdriverIO, Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium.
- Strong experience in API testing (e.g., Postman, Pytest, or REST Assured).
- Deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
- Strong programming skills in JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python.
- Hands-on experience with containerized applications (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP).
- Experience leading performance and scalability testing (e.g., JMeter, k6, Locust).
- Strong analytical and debugging skills.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps best practices.
- Prior experience mentoring and coaching engineers.
