AirTrunk is seeking a Government Relations Associate Director in Malaysia. This role involves developing and maintaining positive relationships with key external stakeholders, shaping public policy positions, and advocating for AirTrunk's interests to the government. The candidate will be based in Kuala Lumpur or Johor and will report to the Senior Director Government Relations.
  • Develop and deliver proactive engagement plans with key government stakeholders.
  • Represent AirTrunk in government meetings.
  • Monitor government policy developments affecting AirTrunk’s business.
  • Help shape the public policy agenda.
  • Advocate to government and policy makers AirTrunk’s position.
  • Attend relevant industry events and meetings.
  • Manage local Government Relations consultants and other vendors.
Requirements:
  • Min. 10+ years experience in a policy, political or government role.
  • Strong understanding of internal workings of government.
  • Exceptional dual language (English and Malay) written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional project management skills and experience in working in cross-functional teams.
  • A high degree of autonomy, drive and resilience.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment and capacity to prioritise conflicting tasks.
