Job Description

OKX, a leading crypto exchange, is seeking a Specialist in Customer Due Diligence and KYC in Malta. This role is crucial in ensuring compliance with AML regulations and maintaining the integrity of customer onboarding processes. The specialist will work within the KYC team, handling cases identified for potential money laundering, terrorist financing, and other AML or fraud-related issues.Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive reviews of customer onboarding cases, ensuring KYC principles align with company policy and risk assessment.
• Review and verify AML documentation using validation tools and reputable sources.
• Request necessary CDD/EDD documentation from customers, adhering to AML policies and procedures.
• Follow up on pending CDD/EDD requests, ensuring timely communication within SLAs.
• Investigate matches generated by scanning applications against sanctions, PEPs, and adverse media.
• Provide updates to management on AML/CDD issues.
• Maintain high-quality service to customers and other departments, addressing queries professionally.
• Support the enhancement of the CDD function and maintain procedures.
• Manage specific projects as needed.

Requirements:

• Completion of tertiary higher education (Higher Diploma, Degree, or higher).
• Minimum of two years’ experience in AML and CDD/EDD review or KYC.
• Team player with excellent communication and writing skills.
• Attentive to detail.
• Excellent command of spoken and written English.
