Specialist, Customer Due Diligence, KYC - Malta at OKX

OKX is seeking a Specialist in Customer Due Diligence, KYC, to join their team in Malta. This role is crucial in ensuring compliance with AML regulations and maintaining a high standard of KYC processes.

The Specialist will work within the KYC team, focusing on customer KYC cases identified through onboarding systems for potential risks such as money laundering, terrorist financing, and AML violations.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive reviews of incoming customer onboarding cases.
• Review KYC documents, using validation tools and reputable sources for verification.
• Request appropriate CDD/EDD documentation from customers.
• Follow up on pending CDD/EDD requests within specified SLA's.
• Investigate matches generated by the scanning application against sanctions, PEP's, and adverse media.
• Provide AML/CDD issue updates to management.
• Maintain high-quality service levels and escalate issues when needed.
• Support the enhancement of CDD function and maintain procedures.
• Manage specific projects as they arise.

Requirements:

• Completion of tertiary higher education.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in AML and CDD/EDD review or KYC.
• Team player with strong communication and writing skills.
• Excellent command of spoken and written English.
