Engineer - Platform - Team Comms at Culture Amp

Culture Amp is seeking a skilled Engineer to join their Platform Team, specifically focusing on Team Communications. This role is based in Sydney.

The Engineer will be integral in developing and enhancing Culture Amp's communication services, which include email, SMS, Slack, and Microsoft Teams. The role involves building and maintaining services that connect people through various communication channels, ensuring efficient, reliable, and scalable communication tailored to user needs.

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain services that connect people through various channels of communication (Slack, Microsoft Teams, and Email, to name a few).
• Maintain and improve on a dynamic microservice architecture that involves services written in Typescript, Golang, and Ruby
• Participate in team rituals, and contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering culture, productivity and quality

Requirements:

• 2 to 4 years of backend experience working on microservices
• Experience with backend languages such as Golang, Typescript, and Ruby
• Experience with backend frameworks like Node and Golang as well as building APIs
• Passionate about backend systems, and empowering other engineering teams to be productive and deliver high quality platforms
• An effective communicator, able to articulate ideas and feelings when writing or speaking, and always open to other perspectives
• Self-motivated and can work independently, you approach work with curiosity and persistence while having good judgement to ask for support when needed
