Content Engineer

Job Description

Vercel is seeking a Technical Content Engineer to join their Technical Content team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical writing background and experience translating complex technical information into clear, concise, and engaging content. The Content Engineer will work with cross-functional teams to ensure the quality and value of Vercel's public messaging.

What this role involves:

• Developing, writing, and editing compelling technical content, focusing on Vercel’s features and frameworks
• Acting as customer zero, ensuring our content meets the reader’s needs and enhances their understanding our products and position in the industry
• Keeping up-to-date with our products, industry trends, and the needs of our users to ensure the creation of relevant and effective content
• Reviewing and refining content and code examples for clarity and accuracy
• Managing your projects in coordination with the Marketing team, adhering to deadlines and contributing to our content strategy
• Embracing new products and processes, sharing knowledge, and driving content quality and innovation

Requirements:

• At least five years of experience as a Technical Writer, Developer Experience/Advocate Engineer, or related role
• Web development experience
• Knowledge of frontend tools such as TypeScript, Next.js, and Vercel
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to quickly adapt to new domains and articulate complex concepts
• Preference for working in a fast-paced, agile environment
• Outstanding project management skills
• Focus on putting the reader first
