DX Engineer

Job Description

Vercel is seeking a DX Engineer to join their Docs team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical writing background and experience with frontend tools. This role involves working with cross-functional teams to ensure the quality of Vercel's development tools, workflows, and documentation. The DX Engineer will report to the Director of Docs.Role involves:

• Developing and updating technical documentation for Vercel's tools, libraries, and APIs.
• Acting as customer zero, ensuring documentation meets reader needs.
• Reviewing and refining documentation and code examples.
• Maintaining and improving documentation sites.
• Managing projects and contributing to documentation strategy.
• Embracing new products and processes, sharing knowledge.

Requirements:

• At least five years of experience as a Technical Writer or Developer Experience Engineer.
• Proficiency in frontend tools such as TypeScript, Next.js, and Vercel.
• Proficiency in Markdown and Git workflows.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to quickly adapt to new domains and articulate complex concepts.
• Focus on creating accessible and engaging documentation.
