BVNK is seeking a Head of Legal & DPO to join their team, reporting to the General Counsel (APAC & EMEA). The successful candidate will assist in managing the global legal team, ensuring compliance with regulations in Europe, the UK, and the rest of the world (excluding the US), and providing strategic legal advice to support the company's operations and growth. This role involves legal and data protection compliance, requiring a blend of leadership, legal acumen, and regulatory expertise. Role involves:
- Drafting and reviewing various agreements
- Negotiating commercial agreements
- Identifying legal risks related to new products
- Monitoring regulatory changes
- Liaising with external counsel
- Developing efficient contract processes
- Serving as lead counsel on strategic deals
- Driving compliance review processes
- Providing legal support for expansion operations
- Ensuring compliance with data protection regulations
- Master’s degree or equivalent in law
- 7+ years of experience in a senior legal position
- Excellent academic and law firm credentials
- Fluency in English with excellent communication skills
- Ability to maintain composure under pressure
