Backend Engineer at Altium

Altium is seeking a Backend Engineer for Valispace, a productivity software. This role involves crafting the core infrastructure for a data-driven decision-making system. The engineer will manage, process, and deliver essential features to users, ensuring they have the best tools that provide them with insights that drive their decisions. Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with a team to map out features and the technical path for the product vision.
• Help define the technical direction of the backend, ensuring it's robust and scalable.
• Tackle technical challenges autonomously and alongside the team to optimize application systems.
• Identify areas where services can be simpler and more performant.
• Propose and discuss solutions that elevate user experience and overall efficiency.
• Learn from and mentor teammates, contributing to a collaborative environment.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience in developing scalable cloud-based software, microservices, and/or event-driven architectures.
• Ability to present options for solutions that are well summarized and coordinated with team members.
• Good knowledge of Python Django.
• Fluency in English (verbal and written).
• Collaborative and a team player.
• Passionate about delivering high-quality software and providing the best user experience.
