BVNK, a modern payment infrastructure provider, seeks a Legal Counsel to join its Cape Town office. The candidate will serve as a strategic advisor across various teams, including Product, Engineering, Compliance, and Marketing.Role responsibilities include:
- Partnering with global teams to advise on financial services requirements, payments, data privacy, and intellectual property.
- Drafting and negotiating commercial agreements, including service contracts and SaaS agreements.
- Reviewing marketing materials for legal and regulatory compliance.
- Assessing legal risks and proposing solutions.
- Supporting BVNK’s global activities and legal operations.
- Assisting with M&A activity and building scalable processes.
- 3+ years of experience as a qualified lawyer.
- Familiarity with UK and/or EU payments and financial services laws.
- Experience in negotiating and drafting agreements.
- Experience in intra-group matters and corporate law.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
