Job Description

Appian is seeking a Technical Writer to develop product enablement resources. This role is based in Chennai, India, and requires in-office presence five days a week to foster collaboration and teamwork.

The Technical Writer will be responsible for creating content resources for internal stakeholders and external customers, ensuring the success of implementation projects, and helping customers effectively use Appian's product.

The role involves:

  • Writing and editing technically accurate, high-quality content.
  • Assessing core personas and their motivations to develop appropriate content.
  • Presenting product information in a clear and logical manner.
  • Acting as a user advocate in the creation and review of UX content.
  • Generating innovative ideas for content development and delivery.
  • Collaborating with subject-matter experts to understand topics and user needs.
  • Maintaining and updating content as the product evolves.
  • Implementing content feedback channels to identify and solve problems via documentation.
  • Providing writing guidance and reviews for other contributors.
  • Contributing to defining language styles for all content types.

Requirements:

  • 1 to 5 years of technical writing experience for a SaaS/PaaS company.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to take on new challenges and build on current skills.
  • Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and be a self-starter.
  • Ability to edit, write, and revise all technical material for consistency and accuracy.
