Truecaller is seeking a Staff Android Engineer to join their Calling team in Stockholm, Sweden. The company's goal is to make communication smarter and safer and the ideal candidate will be deeply technical and passionate about building great user experiences.

As a Staff Android Engineer, he/she will drive the technical direction, play a pivotal role in development and implementation of new solutions.

  • Communicating complex technical decisions clearly.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Staying current with emerging Android technologies.

  • Establishing relationships and drive alignment within the team.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of total engineering experience, with at least 2 years as a senior or staff engineer
  • Deep technical knowledge of Android development, including the Android SDK
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs
  • Strong proficiency in Kotlin, Coroutines, and Dependency Injection
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken
  • Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices as well as an eye for design
  • Experience as an Architect
