Staff Software Engineer, Frontend (Rapid Prototyping Leader)

Job Description

Semgrep is seeking a Staff Frontend Software Engineer to enhance its platform. The role involves building and improving critical frontend workflows, operating with autonomy, and contributing to the component library's strategy. The engineer will partner with Engineering, Product, and Design leaders, ship high-quality improvements, mentor junior engineers, and participate in customer research.Role involves:

• Partnering with Engineering, Product, and Design leaders
• Shipping high-quality improvements to critical workflows
• Contributing to the long-term strategy of the component library
• Meeting with designers to understand UI/UX gaps
• Mentoring less senior frontend engineers
• Participating in customer research

Requirements:

• 7+ years of software engineering experience
• Optimistic and an early adopter of AI tools for frontend development
• React expert
• Comfortable making backend Python changes and running simple Postgres migrations
• Obsessive about UI/UX
• Comfortable operating as a junior designer
