Shift Operations Manager

Job Description

Butternut Box is seeking a Shift Operations Manager to join their high-growth manufacturing business. The Shift Operations Manager will be a part of the site leadership team, reporting to the Head of Manufacturing. This role involves overseeing the day-to-day operations of Rudie's Kitchen and Ace's Pantry, with full site accountability on nights and weekends, leading up to 10 team leaders per shift. The Operations Manager will drive the vision of Manufacturing, Fulfilment, and Warehouse operations, ensuring safety, continuous improvement, and scalability.

Role Involves:

• Leading, coaching, and supporting Team Leaders to drive operational excellence.
• Reporting daily and weekly KPIs, offering detailed variance accounts.
• Driving accountability and safe working practices.
• Ensuring standards on food safety, legislation requirements, and quality standards.
• Identifying training needs and ensuring adequate coaching.
• Promoting a continuous improvement environment and resolving issues.
• Delivering messages and key communications to teams and stakeholders.
• Partnering with Site Leadership Team functional experts.

Requirements:

• Experience in a high-speed volume manufacturing environment.
• Strong experience within the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) market, preferably in the food industry.
• Awareness of continuous improvement concepts and practices.
• Understanding of Health and Safety best practices.
• Supervisory experience with knowledge of safety legislation.
• Well-practiced planning, organization, and scheduling skills.
• Problem-solving skills and priority setting.
