Senior Manager, Sanctions Operations

Job Description

OKX is seeking a Senior Manager for Sanctions Operations to develop and execute the global sanctions compliance strategy. This role involves leading a team in Budapest, Hungary, and ensuring compliance with sanctions laws and regulations.

The Senior Manager will report to the EEA Head of Compliance Operations and collaborate with senior leaders.

What This Role Involves:

• Leading a team of 10-15 sanctions compliance professionals.
• Overseeing the screening of customers and counterparties against sanctions lists.
• Developing and implementing a comprehensive sanctions compliance program.
• Conducting sanctions risk assessments and reviews.
• Developing and delivering sanctions compliance training.
• Providing guidance on sanctions compliance matters.
• Staying current on regulatory developments and industry best practices.
• Ensuring regular testing and monitoring of the sanctions compliance program.

Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience in sanctions compliance.
• In-depth knowledge of sanctions laws and regulations (OFAC, EU, UN).
• Strong leadership skills with team management experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strategic thinking and ability to implement effective compliance programs.
• Experience working in a global environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
