Team Lead iXGuard - Leuven at Guardsquare

Guardsquare is seeking a highly motivated R&D Team Lead to manage one of its iXGuard (C++/LLVM) teams in Leuven. The ideal candidate will lead a team of 5-7 C++/LLVM compiler engineers within an agile environment, driving innovation and ensuring timely, high-quality delivery.

In this role, the Team Lead will play a pivotal role in mentoring engineers, fostering collaboration, and aligning technical specifications with business needs.

Responsibilities

• Own the results delivered by the team
• Lead day-to-day development, assign tasks and track progress
• Mentor engineers, foster collaboration, and motivate the team
• Set coding standards and best practices
• Work with product teams to translate business needs into technical specifications
• Implement and enforce testing practices
• Encourage new ideas and own engineering processes
• Represent Guardsquare’s R&D values

Requirements

• Masters in computer science with 5+ years of experience
• Strong C++ skills with low-level programming/compiler knowledge
• Pragmatic attitude, continuously raising the bar
• Excellent English communication
• Understanding the value of in-person leadership in a hybrid work environment
