Accountant - Accounts Payable (f/m/d) at Awin

Awin is seeking an Accountant to join their accounts payable department. This role is a maternity leave replacement until June 2027. The Accountant will be responsible for processing incoming invoices, ensuring business transactions are recorded correctly, and contributing to the preparation of annual financial statements. The role also involves checking and reimbursing employee travel expense claims and processing credit card statements.

Responsibilities:

• Independently book current business transactions such as incoming invoices, credit cards, and travel expenses.
• Carry out bank accounting.
• Create and execute supplier payment runs.
• Maintain master data, clarify accounts, and perform reconciliations.
• Support with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Assist with company audits and global projects.

Requirements:

• At least 2-4 years of professional experience in a comparable position.
• Practical and theoretical knowledge of accounting according to local GAAP’s/IFRS.
• Analytical and interpersonal skills.
• Global mindset and team-oriented attitude with the ability to develop internal relationships.
• Conscientiousness and flexibility.
• Training as a financial accountant, accounts payable clerk, tax clerk, or comparable degree in finance and accounting.
• Knowledge of a common accounting system, ideally MS D365.
• Good knowledge of MS Office products, especially Excel.
• Good communication skills (written and verbal in English).
