Chief Accountant

Job Description

Berlin Brands Group is seeking a Chief Accountant to join their team in Bratislava, Slovakia. The candidate will be responsible for overseeing accounting operations, ensuring compliance with Slovak accounting and corporate tax standards, and producing monthly, quarterly, and annual reports. Responsibilities Include:

• Overseeing changes in accounting legislation and regulations.
• Checking compliance with internal directives.
• Responsibility for monthly closures and production of reports.
• Monitoring and analyzing financial results.
• Evaluating accounting transactions and accuracy of cost accounting.
• Preparing VAT returns (SK, CZ).
• Cooperation with control and tax authorities.
• Suggesting process improvements to optimize costs and ongoing business monitoring plans.

Requirements include:

• At least 5 years of accounting experience.
• Experience with stock accounting.
• Strong leadership abilities.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards.
