The Commercial Sales Executive role at dmg events involves securing sponsorship and exhibition revenues for events. The ideal candidate will develop new business, identify revenue growth areas, and convert opportunities into revenue through stands and sponsorships. They will demonstrate confidence in commercial dealings, possess strong business development ethics, and have great interpersonal skills to ensure an exceptional customer experience.
Responsibilities:
- Keep up to date with industry trends and publications.
- Develop a compelling business pitch.
- Achieve individual and team commercial targets.
- Develop comprehensive sales plans.
- Identify and qualify new leads.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
- Collaborate with internal teams.
- Attend events to re-sign sponsors and exhibitors.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in B2B exhibition sales and sponsorship.
- Excellent telephone sales manner with consistently high call rates.
- Serial networker and social media savvy.
- Technical experience with contract management, budget management, and proposal writing.
- Experience in the use of databases (preferably Salesforce).
- Ability to cross and up sell opportunities and products.
- Focus on customer needs and seek win/win agreements.
- Excellent verbal and written English.
