Manager, Solutions Engineering, DACH (Remote, Germany)

Job Description

Grafana Labs is seeking a Manager of Solutions Engineering for the DACH region. This role involves building and managing a high-performing team of Solution Engineers, owning the regional build-out with sales leaders, and developing GTM strategies. The manager will collaborate with Customer Experience to ensure customer success through professional services, support, training, and customer success initiatives. They will also work with marketing to drive community and adoption programs, and with Product Management and Engineering to influence the product roadmap based on customer feedback.

The role requires achieving regional financial targets and contributing to the company's goals. The manager will mentor and develop their team, partner with sales leadership on customer programs, and act as a thought leader within EMEA.

What this role involves:

• Attracting, recruiting, and mentoring a team of Presales SE’s.
• Directing day-to-day work based on leadership guidance and goals.
• Partnering with Sales leadership on customer programs and marketing initiatives.
• Ensuring customer requirements are met through partnership with Product Management and Engineering.
• Owning and reporting on the team's quarterly cadence.
• Driving enablement and selling with channel partners.

Requirements:

• Experience leading a team.
• 5-10 years in the high-tech industry in roles such as Developer, Architect, or Sales Engineer.
• Proven success in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment.
• Track record of mentoring and developing people.
• Experience with Open Source selling or Cloud-first/Product-led sales.
• Direct experience implementing a formal sales methodology.
• Direct experience selling monitoring/data/visualization products.
• English fluency required, and a second European language is preferred
• Located in Germany
