Head of Design

Job Description

Semgrep is seeking a Head of Design to lead and scale its design team, driving exceptional user experiences across web and command-line tools. Reporting to the CEO, the Head of Design will ensure Semgrep’s UX is industry-leading, maintaining a solid, intuitive UI. This role involves shaping the product experience, working cross-functionally with product and engineering, and driving measurable improvements in usability and adoption.Semgrep expects this role to be based in their San Francisco office, with the candidate coming into the office 2 days a week.Role involves:

• Leading and growing the design team.
• Defining and executing a UX strategy.
• Ensuring design and product alignment.
• Owning the UX for core product workflows.
• Conducting user research and translating insights into UX flow diagrams and low-fidelity wireframes.
• Collaborating with PMs to define and measure in-product success outcomes.
• Continuously iterating on UX flows based on real-world usage data.
• Leveraging AI and other cutting-edge tools to accelerate rapid prototyping and testing.
