Mobile Engineer (React Native)

Job Description

Momence, a booking and communications platform, is seeking a Mobile Engineer to join their Prague-based team. The ideal candidate will contribute to the development of a modern product in a US startup. The role involves building and maintaining the mobile application for iOS and Android using React Native. Momence's team operates remotely worldwide, but the Prague-based team meets regularly in their Prague office 2–3 times a week.

The Mobile Engineer will work alongside experienced engineers on an innovative mobile product, with great freedom in how they contribute and what areas they develop.

What this role involves:

• Designing, building, and maintaining our mobile application for iOS and Android using React Native.
• Improving and scaling our mobile platform to support mobile development.
• Collaborating with UI/UX designers to deliver polished and user-friendly interfaces.
• Iterating quickly on new product features and influencing product direction.
• Following best engineering practices, ensuring high-quality code and efficient workflows.
• Engaging with backend services when needed (APIs, database interactions, backend logic).
• Working in a flexible and autonomous environment, shaping technical and product decisions.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in mobile development for iOS/Android using React Native.
• Understanding of basic principles of APIs, databases, and backend services.
• Product mindset and ability to iterate quickly on the product.
• Ability to come up with solutions and defend decisions.
• Comfortable working in English in an international environment.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.
• Being based in Prague and working from the office at least three days a week.
