Fictiv is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join their team in Monterrey, Mexico. This role is crucial for ensuring collaboration between customers and manufacturing partners. The Manufacturing Engineer will leverage their expertise in manufacturing processes, such as CNC machining and injection molding, to optimize designs and provide accurate quotes. They will also support the automation of quoting systems and create high-quality 2D drawings. The ideal candidate will be fluent in Spanish and English and possess strong communication and analytical skills.
The role involves:
- Analyzing and optimizing designs for manufacturability and cost efficiency.
- Advising on design improvements to enhance manufacturability, reduce costs, and improve assembly.
- Generating accurate quotes for customers using expertise and Fictiv’s software.
- Developing cost calculators for new service offerings.
- Supporting automation by working with the software team to refine automated quoting systems.
- Creating high-quality 2D drawings that meet ANSI/ASME Y14.5 standards.
Requirements:
- 7-10 years of experience in manufacturing engineering or a similar role with sheet metal expertise.
- Fluency in Spanish & business English.
- Detail-oriented & analytical skills.
- Self-starter with efficient time management and initiative.
- Passion for manufacturing.
