2025 Summer Internship – Data Engineer, Long/Short Equities

Job Description

Point72 is seeking a Data Engineer intern to help design and build solutions. This role will support investment professionals in extracting insights from large, complex datasets. The internship lasts for 10 weeks in Point72's London office. It involves:

• Developing and supporting data processing pipelines.
• Working with investment professionals and data scientists to design and maintain data pipelines and tools.
• Building out cloud-based infrastructure using distributed techniques.
• Creating and supporting visualisation and exploration capabilities.

What is required:

• Pursuit of a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a quantitative discipline.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python (with an emphasis on Pandas, PySpark, etc.).
• Excel skills and visualisation skills are preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail, organisation, and project management skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Commitment to the highest ethical standards.
