Job Description

KAYAK is seeking a Freelance Localization Specialist to localize products and content, primarily for KAYAK and OpenTable. The role involves providing linguistic and cultural expertise to connect with audiences and enhance travel and dining experiences.

Role Involves:

• Translating, reviewing, and editing content for KAYAK/OpenTable's products and assets.
• Adhering to style guides for high-quality translations and transcriptions.
• Translating and proofreading content for various channels, including landing pages, blogs, newsletters, SEO content, and social media.
• Conducting LQA and functionality checks.
• Maintaining and refining language-specific resources such as style guides and glossaries.

Requirements:

• Proficient native speaker in the target language.
• Strong verbal and written command of English.
• Proven experience in website/app localization and translation.
• Experience using Translation Management Systems.
• Flair for creative translation and copywriting.
• Familiarity with SEO.
• Background in LQA.
• Relevant academic or professional background in communication, marketing, translation, linguistics, or related fields.
• Quick learner and comfortable incorporating the latest tech.
• Versatile multitasker, adept at managing workflows.
